The Crater

The open-pit mine has grown into a crater. Hopefully, it can't be worse than this:

Right down you see from L M R R o y n e nearest (with a W N jacket), M a t s, H å k an och furthest away from D r o t t n i n g h o l m s E n t r e p e n a d (with orange trousers) R o n n y. They stand in the cavity that will become the western part of the garage.

In this picture you may see that the garage will be located at a certain lower level than the level of the house (to the right). In the middle you also see a heap of gravel, to be used underneath the forthcoming garage foundation as drainage.

Here's a picture of my wife:

This picture is taken from the from the cavity where garage will be placed. Y l v a stands next to the border westwards, approximately at the spot where I took the first pic in this post.

Next is a picture from the blasted pit on a frostless depth for the water and sewage pipes. You may see connection points for fresh water, sewage and surface water:

If you want to see more details, please double-click on this picture to see it enlarged.

Finally a picture of the blasting remnants. By the way, the blasting is now complete.

There are probably another 20 truckloads required to get rid of the remaining blasted material. A figure from the other day stated that some 190 truckloads with blasted material had been removed so far.
