As Things Are at Present

Reported on October 4.

46 days remain to the moving in and it is time for a status report.

On the upper floor, the carpenting is complete. The flooring is taken care of by sub-contractors any day. The three bedrooms are painted and only the wall paper work remains. In the bathroom the tigheting stuff is completely applied but the tiling and clinking remain.

On the ground floor, the carpenters have completed a lot. The guest room is painted except for one layer. One of the walls will be painted as a backround wall, in a dark brown color. The electricians have prepared all outlets in the kitchen and the carpenters spend a lot of time in the kitchen installing all cupboards and all equipment.

In the halls (there is one on each on floor), there is still much work to be done, probably awaiting the installation of the staircases.

This week, the carpenters have been struggling with the completion of the terrace. Look here:

Yesterday they had come this far. The system of beams of the part being west of the house and north of the garage having an "outdoor room" underneath, had been completed.

At this morning's inspection, it looked like this. The carpenters are working with the final layer west of the house. Nice job,, L a s s e, K j e l l, J o c k e och A l e x!

Here's the well for the basement window. There are some planks lying there protected anyone from falling down. These will soon be replaced by a thick glass that you should be able to walk on.

Here are a wife and a mother-in-law looking at the news. Between them there is another outdoor fitting whose lamps will light upwards and downwards. The lamps used are a new type of LEDs providing a surprisingly warm light. Each fitting will use six watts!

This picture was shot right under the last picture and shows the "outdoor room" partly covered by the new terrace.

Lest go indoors.

On the ground floor, all flooring and a fabric wall towards the upper floor remain.

In the basement we see a great progress, too. On all walls and in all ceilings, plasterboards have been mounted. Painting, flooring and clikering remain and a heap of installations in the boiler room.

However, the sauna is complete!
