Happened Last Week

Reported on October 26.

More than a week has passed since the last post and a lot of things have happened.

Here the carpenters L a s s e (site responsible) och A d d e (right) working in the kithcen. I can tell you that they are very precise. The result is simply awesome!

Here's the cooking side of the kitchen. The sink is unfortunately wrong and we await a replacement, something that may affect the date of moving in.

Here's the washing up side of the kitchen. On this side of the kitchen, there will be a counter jutting out. A heightened wall on this counter will hide a possible mess in the kitchen from the dinner guests.

Now there is no longer a danger of life being on the terrace, as the carpenters have mounted fence and its panes of glass making the fence complete.

What is this? This is wall fabric. The living room's wall towards the upper floor will also work as an echo damper. Hence, it will be filled with rockwool (just like all walls) and covered with fabric. We have cut nine sections of fabric to be mounted. The fabric will be covered with horizontal lath. I'll show you when it is complete.

This picture shows how the frame of the living room's glass section meets the parquet floor. Consider the fact the under the 14 mm parquet floor, there is a 22 mms chipboard, 22 mms of floor heating and 14 mms of plaster: the surface of the parquet floor and the frame of the glass section fit perfectly.

Here's the foundation of the stove. The air hole is for the intake of air. Taking air from outside increases the efficiency of the stove. The hole and the stove are placed slightly to the left, offering room to the right for a wood basket.

Here's a view from the upper floor and the end of the staircase and a view of the forest in the north.

Here's the switch- board and it looks like a mess. From here, antenna, phone and local are network (CAT, 1 GB/s) cords are distributed to to most of the rooms in the house for future connections.

This final picture is from the garage and the loft on top of the garage door. We have been granted the permission to start storing removal boxes there. This weekend we've moved 52 removal boxes, eight car wheels (summer tyres) and all skis!
