Problems, Actually

Reported on November 2:

It is less than three weeks to the moving in and a few minor problems have appeared, still hopefully not affecting the main schedule.

The problems neither relate to L M R, the general contractor, nor to W i l l a   N o r d i c, the house supplier. They have both been delivered on time and simply been perfect.

No, we've had slight problems with H T H, the kitchen supplier. They have delivered two sinks that we have not ordered and that don't match the 3D kitchen drawing we've received. We've asked our salesman, being head of sales at W i l l a   N o r d i c for help and we sure have had. He has ordered new and correct sinks and W N pays them for us!

The second problem is the regular telephony. Telia, the former Swedish Telecommunications Authority, still has monopoly on the new installations of telephones, particularly if digging is required. Hence we've chosen Telia as the telephony supplier and signed a one-year infavourable contract. Telia does not assist with the digging on our land and the pre-installed dedicated pipe for the telephone wire has stops, so we have to dig ourselves.

Here are two orange lines: The one to the right marks the neighbour's telephone wire and pipe; the left one marks the stop in our pipe.

Here, I've digged a meter to the detected stop and confirmed that there is a stop.

Here you see the cause of the stop. There is a tuck in it. Hopefully, after this stop there is a free connection down to the road.

Here's the state of the kitchen. A lot of things are assembled and mounted, but the sinks are lacking.

This is the look of the kitchen as of H T H 's one-year old 3D image.

In the boiler room, the clinker floor is now complete. We have ordered clinkers in all bathrooms and in most of the basement. You must not start the floor heating in these floors until a month has passed since the laying of the floors.

Finally, a picture of A n t e, busy with aligning the clinkers in the pantry.
