The garage is about to attain its final height and shape:

The construction effort result right now looks like a fortress, as there are quite a few walls now with naked bricks. The garage has now reached its final height, 3.8 meters, or 12.5 ft. According to the original plans, the garage was designed to be less than three meters, or 10 feet, but after studies at the location, the level of the garage was lowered by half a meter or two feet, mainly to facilitate the parking in the carport outside the garage. Since the terrace outside the house's main floor is going to lie on the garage roof, the garage height had to be increased. This becomes more evident now as no filling masses have been applied along the garage walls.
Another picture of the fortress:

In the foreground, you see a retaining wall starting from the west end of the garage towards north. This will lie well
below the ground level when everything is complete! In the garage walls you see a few openings, aimed at future contreforts or retaining pillars and here's a close look at one:

Here, L M R is about to start casting contreforts, after having made another mould. So today's efforts have been made on two directions: L M R casting contreforts and the sub-contracted team bricklaying the basement walls:

On this picture you see the bricklaying team fighting space with the remaining pallets. If you have a closer look, you see the there is a yellow strip on some concrete bricks. These bricks have improved insulation and are layed at locations where the wall is against free air.
You can also see that a passage is created between the garage and the house. Inside the passage and west of it, a triangle-shaped outdoor room under the forthcoming terrace is created. (See also
markplaneringsbilden.) Here we intend to store wood under some sort of roof (under the terrace in the west).
