During last week, the effort was spent on preparations for the casting on Monday:

In the foreground you see a cluster of reinforcement bars that will make up the base for a contrefort or a prop pillar. Together with concrete, these will make up a support pillar, protecting the basement wall from impact from soil and other masses. You also see a neat installation of hoses for the floor heating.

Hear is an earthing connection point, connecting the entire reinforcement grid to the future fuse box and its earth point. This is a
W i l l a N o r d i c speciality and is called [at least in Swedish] potential earthing. Some of you know my scepticism regarding electro-magnetic sources of radiation and understand that this detail really apeeals to me.
With a risk of nagging, I here present a final picture showing hot and cold water pipe installations in the foundation.

Here you see a number of hoses
that are intentionally placed at a lower level than the heating hoses, to avoid getting initial lukewarm water opening cold water taps.
